Overview

  • Booksource Classroom Overview – This video is a 15-minute overview where educators can learn about the key features and functionality Booksource Classroom offers. Get a glimpse after log in of the Teacher dashboard, Library page, Students page, recommended books, LibraryLens, Settings and how students are able to check out books. 
  • Inventory Overview – Once logged in to the Teacher page, see how to navigate to the Library page, and learn about the advanced features available. Specifically, see how to search and filter, add or import books, learn what Booksource Verified means and preview advanced book details.  

Your Library

  • Library Overview – This 16-minute videos shows in detail the functions of Booksource Classroom’s Library page. Learn all about title details, how to add books, how to check out and return books and advanced search features. 
  • Add Books Page – This video covers in detail all the ways teachers are able to add books to their Booksource Classroom account. Add books manually by ISBN via typing, camera, or ISBN scanner. Other options include importing books easily from your Booksource invoice or from an Excel spreadsheet. Additionally, learn tips for adding books quickly to your library. 
  • What is Booksource Verified – In this video, learn what it means to be a “Booksource Verified” title. Know how to identify these titles by their icon and the advantages of purchasing your classroom library books from Booksource. 
  • Editing Titles – This video covers in detail how to edit individual title details. See all the editable fields and learn which fields cannot be changed and why.
  • Auto-Quarantine Feature – This video explains in detail the quarantine and put back features. Learn how these features work and how to enable and disable these features in Settings. 
  • ISBNs Explained - In this 3-minute video, learn what an ISBN is, why it is important for use within Booksource Classroom, and how ISBNs vary between different editions of the same title. Additionally, learn how to identify and locate ISBN barcodes on books.
  • Booksource Subjects – This 3-minute video explains Booksource subjects, how they are used within Booksource Classroom including LibraryLens, and how the proprietary data is populated by Booksource title experts. Additionally, learn how custom data tags can be added by teachers using the custom genre field. 
  • Organizing your books – Learn about different ways to organize books within Booksource Classroom. Explore all the custom field options (Condition, Genre, and Location) under Settings, learn how to edit these fields while adding titles or bulk editing on the Library page and via Excel import. 

Your Students

  • Students Overview – Learn the basics of how to use the manage Students section within Booksource Classroom. See how to add and edit students, search for students, view student details, see custom student book recommendations and more!
  • Add, Edit, & Delete Students – This video explains in detail how to manage Students. Add students individually or as a group through an Excel import. Learn how to add students to groups, edit student information, and delete students. 
  • Student Passwords – This video explains the student password in detail. This is an optional field that can be enabled and disabled in the Settings. Only teachers have the ability to access and manage student passwords. 
  • Student Progress Chart – Learn all about the reading progress chart for each student available in Booksource Classroom. This chart reports the books checked out and read by each student. Book levels in the system are reflected on this chart to demonstrate reading trends. 
  • Recommended Books – Learn all about the custom book recommendations available to teachers for each student based on that student’s unique reading trends. 

Your Account
